After the success of the first edition, the European Operations Management Association will organize the second Young Scholars Workshop at the EurOMA 2010 Conference in Porto, Portugal. The workshop is targeted at young OM academics in general and Alumni of the EurOMA Doctoral Seminar in particular.
This new activity was conceived as a way to support the career development of young scholars in the field of Operations Management by teaching and sharing with them the major skills needed in an academic career, such as supervising Master and PhD students, reviewing and writing papers, networking, teaching, etc. Each year one of the above subjects will be developed on a rolling base. At the same time, the initiative is aimed at developing the community of young OM scholars, keeping the network alive and providing opportunities to meet and discuss relevant topics.
The theme for the 2010 workshop is Teaching OM to MSc and MBA Students.
